Coden Hydrographic Survey Boat
Unmanned remote-control boat was developed to collect variety of depth survey data, which enables this boat to measure from 0.5m of shallow water to 80m’s of depth of deep-water such as,
River: Cross-section surveying
Harbor: Research for dredging
Dam: Sediment survey
Seashore: Bathymetry
Lake: Environmental research
that manned boat cannot access, with the highest safety.
Components of this system
Coden Hydrographic Survey Boat will transfer obtained data coupled with GPS real-time data to the PC receiver.
255 of surveying points and/or 128 measuring lines can be pre-set.
This boat is so made to return automatically to the starting point, the location where boat switch was “on”, whenever unexpected communication stop or low-battery phenomena occurs, as the starting point data obtained by GPS is memorized onto the PC.
This system is patent-protected and nobody is allowed to manufacture similar or imitation products.
US Patent No. US 7398741 B2
Registered New Technology Information System
by Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (Japan)
Registry No. KK-080050-A
Coden Hydrographic Survey Boat is remote controlled by one-man operation.
Auto line feature has the ability to follow planned lines automatically without any control from the operator. The boat will follow the line from its starting point to its end point.
Auto target point feature has the ability to be driven planned points automatically without any control from the operator. The boat will be driven toward points in number order.
Auto returning feature returns the boat
automatically to the initial starting point in 2 cases:
1. Loss of Wi-Fi communications
2. Loss of battery power
It can also be turned on anytime to return the boat to the initial starting point such as in completion of survey.
The Coden Hydrographic Boat is the one solution for projects involving shallow waters, hard to reach areas, limited man hours, short notice, and quick deployment.

Data can be monitored during and after collection on site to minimize problems and assure full coverage was completed.
Areas can be surveyed manually, simply driving the boat over the target area or using planned lines.
The Coden Auto Line feature has the ability to follow planned lines automatically without any control from the operator. When the boat is driven within the Start Line Gate parameters, it will follow the nearest line from its starting point to its end point, and then look for the next starting point and follow it until its end point. The boat will repeat this process until all lines are covered.
The Auto Return feature returns the boat automatically to the initial starting point in 2 cases:
Loss of wi-fi communications
Loss of battery power
It can also be turned on anytime to return the boat to the initial starting point such as in completion of survey.
